The most popular sports for girls in the USA are mentioned. Find names of famous athletes in the different sports. Newspapers and Internet will be useful sources.

Task 5       

Several female Norwegian soccer players have turned professional and are going to play in the USA. Who are they? Do you know how much the American clubs paid for them? What do you think of the price when you compare with the price paid for male Norwegian soccer players. Discuss in your group.

Would you like to have a sport’s scholarship.

Write down all the arguments for and against first. Then explain to your group why you would/would not have a sport’s scholarship.
