The Background for the Civil War

Task 1       

Why and how did the slave based economy in the South develop?  Write down the most important ideas in your notebook. Then get together in groups. Compare your notes with those of the other members of your group.

Task 2       

Group work: What kind of activities were typical of the societies in the North? Take notes of the main ones in your book.

Discuss in class the meaning of these principles.
